FEA-NM MISSION STATEMENT
FEA–NM’s mission is to increase the growth of the film, entertainment and related industries to their fullest potential in New Mexico. The main goal is to make New Mexico the second largest film and entertainment industry state in the country. FEA–NM will strive to do this through education and legislation. Our website will always be updated and full of suggestions to keep our members informed and active. We believe that Information, Education, Communication and Legislation are the keys to reaching our goals.
STRATEGY:
Educate the public and legislature about aspects of the film industry.
- Challenge film bills that hurt the NM film industry.
- Introduce and support bills that help the NM film industry.
- Advocate for NM Film industry issues at Government level.
- Be a liaison between Government and association members.
- Create new legislation to improve and expand film/tv and related industries.
- Create and mandate licensing and ethics rules of operation for Casting offices and associates, Managers and Talent Agents, and any other ancillary positions wherever appropriate.
FEA–NM STATEWIDE:
Create FEA-NM branches to better serve its members — Present suggestions are:
- Taos
- Espanola
- Santa Fe — State Headquarters
- Rio Rancho
- Albuquerque – North and South
- Las Cruces
Create FEA–NM–COMMUNITY OUTREACH, a Not-for-profit division of FEA-NM. — Some concepts are:
- Award Scholarships
- Award Grants
- Contribute to Horse Rescue organizations and other community organizations for the betterment of New Mexicans.
- Spearhead a Veterans Retrofit program. This committee will help New Mexico veterans retrofit their homes to accommodate their special needs to live a slightly easier life with dignity. They gave of themselves to us, it's time to say thank you and give back to them.
The FILM & ENTERTAINMENT ASSOCIATION of NEW MEXICO (FEA-NM), is an association of film, TV and entertainment professionals, above and below the line, and industry friends banding together throughout the state, dedicated to the promotion and continued expansion of the film/TV/entertainment and related industries in New Mexico.
FEA-NM will strive to achieve legislation to better the industry for New Mexicans. We will try to provide relevant information and education in support of our mission. Through unity and open communication we will foster the highest professional standards, maintain industry integrity, and create ONE VOICE for our membership, for the overall good of the industry and the New Mexico community in general.
As you navigate through the FEA-NM website, take notes and let us know what needs to be added or what imporovements there should be.
Keep in mind that a streamlined searchable database is being developed as we speak. This will allow the outside world, i.e. Producers, Directors, Production Managers, Casting Directors, etc. to find you. If they need a grip, best boy, male actor of a certain age, female actor 6' tall with blue eyes, they'll be able to find you.
We are also working on attaining various discounts and insurance benefits and/or insurance opportunities for our members.
